The Lincoln Elementary School in Rockaway, NJ, recently collected over 700 pounds of product for Operation Jersey Cares. This total school project was initiated and directed by second grade teacher Maryann Medore. The product will be incorporated into OJC’s care packages and mailed directly to individual servicemen/women to be shared with their fellow warriors in combat zones and field hospitals. Mrs. Medore’s students said that they loved collecting and sorting the product keeping a tally of all items; but what they loved the most was just being able to give something to our soldiers who protect us and keep us free.
Well done kids! And thank you Mrs. Medore and the staff of the Lincoln Elementary School.
