Memorial Day Parade – Flemington

CANCELLED DUE TO LACK OF PARTICIPATION

OJC Member Volunteer Event.

**WE NEED TO GAUGE LEVEL OF INTEREST TO PARTICIPATE TO DETERMINE IF WE CAN COMMIT TO  DOING THIS EVENT – PLEASE SIGN UP ASAP IF YOU WISH TO TAKE PART**

Sunday 26th May (10am – Noon)– We decorate the float at Dana’s house. 6 volunteers needed for this. Can involve some heavy lifting and climbing on and off the float to secure decor. We need 6 volunteers.

Monday 27th May (Memorial Day) (8am – Noon)   – Meet the float in Walgreens parking lot (park there) . Participants can ride on the float to the parade starting point on Broad Street (Opposite other side of  Walgreens). Participants can either ride on the float or walk along side to hand out candy and flags along the route. Sadly we will miss having Archie ride with us this year..

Ceremony at the end lasts approx. 1hour. Bring a folding chair and your own refreshments (especially if a hot day). We need about 12 volunteers.
